The loop is attached to my lanyard. The rest of the gear on my lanyard includes a nipper (Fishpond is the lightest that I've found), floatant in a microdropper, forceps on a zinger (personal preference to accept the added weight), tippet spool, and split shot in a small plastic vial (could use Ryan Jordans' idea of a microdropper too), and indicators.
